NB. This puzzle was published on a FRIDAY. The clue to 5d was written and test solved before Guardian Cryptic 26,512 by Imogen appeared on Friday 6th March in which 19d was clued identically to 5d here. I changed mine for publication just a week later but I have since reverted to my original 5d.
